How fies it work for 80watt solar panels? If your going to use it charging cordless 40v or 21 v batteries?
Have you tried there new front country tripod or outdoorsman’s tripods? Thoughts on them?
Saved me some money. Won’t be buying. Thanks.
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching.
Thank you! Very informative.
Absolutely! Glad it was helpful and thanks for watching!
I know this review is a few years old now BUT.. Does anybody know if these bags gets stronger / tougher as they get bigger, clearly a MOOSE sized 30x60" would like more weight
Hey there! I can't say with certainty if thatbis the case or not. I believe the larger sizes are made of the same material, so I don't believe the larger sizes would be stronger. Thanks for watching!
They have the 32 quart cooler on sale at Walmart right now clearance for $25. Is it a good deal? Should I get it or maybe two?
That's a great deal! Can't beat $25. Thanks for watching!
Post a link please

Great, thorough reviews as always. Was wondering if you compare some of the lightweight bipod options based on stability?
Thank you! Glad it was helpful. We are working on a review comparing some lightweight options right now, so stay tuned! Thanks for watching!
Hi. Not sure if you have a chance to do a FOV of SIG 10x30 vs 12x42. I have the 12x42 and find the FOV too narrow sometimes. The 10x30 is 5.2 degree vs 3.8 on the 12x42. I want to get the 10x30 but because the EP is only 3, I'm afraid it will be hard to get perfect view without blackout. On the 42 I do experienced imperfect view and need frequent adjusting and on the 30 it may be worse? Any thoughts?
Hey there! Thanks for the question. I can't say that I noticed a big difference in that way between the 10x30s and 12x42s, but I also wasn't specifically looking for that difference. The 10x30s were noticeably worse in low light as you can imaging with that much smaller EP. Thanks for watching!
Would be cool to see the mountain without a pan option and have the picatinny rail be integral to the base, so it sits up closer to the handguard and is lighter.
Hey there! MTN Gest says you can order the Mountain with the pan locked out (or order the parts to convert it) if you would like. Thanks for watching!
I would be careful holding on to your rope with both hands when moving it, if you ever fell you’d pin both hands to the tree and you’d be stuck hanging there until someone found you or you degloved your fingers, that’s the reason many guys use a lineman’s 15:19
Thanks for the tip and thanks for watching!
@@BackwoodsPursuit great idea with the zip ties though, going to add those on my skeletors too!
@natet.5813 excellent!
Needed this. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful and thanks for watching!
As usual, great review
Thank you and thanks for watching!
Thank you for a great review and comparison between these two spottingscopes! While I am usually not a fan of zoom eyepieces at all because of the often ridiciously narrow AFOV at the lowest power, the AFOV of these models has changed my mind. I am impressed that the Kowa stands so well against Swarovski here. I am an eyeglasses wearer and want to make use of the full FOV with eyeglasses on. When it comes to eye relief this usually decreases when magnification increases. It should be so in this case too. This means that if eye relief is sufficient at lowest power, it may not be sufficient when the power goes up. This will be the most important factor for me, which one I will choose, and if I will get any of them at all.
Absolutely, and I'm glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching!
You can take the base off of the Slik tripod and what is underneath is almost a perfect match for the Wiser Nighthawk. This will give you more articulation with the Nighthawk. Just use some blue loctite on the center screw and you are good to go.
Good to know...thanks for the tip!
I’m curious which you would recommend for someone that wears glasses? The on glass looks to maintain the most eye relief but it is hard to tell
Hey there! That's a tough one since they all reduced eye relief in order work with your phones camera. That said I'd say the OnGlass or the Ollin would likely works best. Thanks for watching!
Hi there and thanks for this video. I'm in Texas and I'm planning a road trip to Alaska soon. Since I'm going through Canada, I cannot take my handguns, so I will be taking my shotgun to have for protection from bear/wildlife/people while hiking. Do you recommend this sling or is there another option out there I'm not thinking of?
Hey there! There are some nice rifle holders for packs (depending on what pack you have..the Exo K4 rifle holder is great). Otherwise, I've heard a lot of folks like the Kifaru gun bearer, but this one is great! Thanks for watching!
@@BackwoodsPursuit Thanks for the feedback!

Is the housing the same as on the tsn66?
Hey there! Same material...but obviously a lot smaller. Thanks for watching!
what are the pin yardage increments for this sight?
Hey! You can make them whatever you want, but I had them set at 20-60 in 10 yard increments. Thanks for watching!
Great work. Keep up the awesome reviews. I'm so disappointed that kowa didn't make their eyepiece removable like the rest of their recent TSN Prominar models. Because of that one factor, I'll be keeping my old Kowa 553 scope for sure
Thanks! Yeah, that would be nice if it was removable like the others. I. Guessing it was a challenge given the smaller area tk work with, but not sure. Thanks for watching!
thx
Absolutely! Thanks for watching!
Swarovski launched their NL pure 10x52 and 14x52 please review them

Yes they look amazing. But the prices are really getting ridiculous.

How do you get new Spotting scopes for review??
Hey there! Having been doing reviews as long as we have, sometimes we are able to get our hands on pre-release models so we are able to drop content when the product is released. Thanks for watching!
Does the 55 kowa have a newer eyepiece than the old one?
Hey there! Yup....that's one of the big changes with the new TSN 55! Thanks for watching! You can check out our other video for all the updates to the new Kowa TSN 55! ruclips.net/video/FHRd0N7gdws/видео.html
I just got the new version of the Jetstream. I love the fit and feel of it. How has it held up for you after a couple seasons?
That's great! So far so good after a couple seasons for me...albeit it's not nlmy go to jacket so I don't wear it all the time.
How do these compare the new Vortex RAZOR® HD 13-39X56 SPOTTING SCOPE? It weighs less than both options you reviewed
Hey there! We are working on that comparison (along with a couple other compact spotting scopes)....stay tuned for our results on that one! Early results are that the Razor, while very very good for the money, falls short in of these two in several areas. Thanks for watching!
Nice comparison!
Thank you!
Thank you for your nice review. I was waiting to see this comparison from you.
Absolutely! I'm glad it was helpful and thanks for watching!
Thank you for the outstanding review! It sure is helpful. Keep up the great work
Thank you and I'm glad it was helpful. Thanks for following the channel as well!
I am 99% positive that it is illegal to trim limbs and branches from trees on pubic land in ky. I could always be wrong. Locating the law is difficult. I did find that you cannot cut down trees or screw anything into the trees or damage public habitat in anyway. But specifically referring to trimming limbs I did not find.
Thanks for the comment...always worth double checking the regs. Thanks for watching!
On certain public WMA or conservation land it is 100% illegal to cut or trim limbs. However, it is not illegal at all on private land and most public hunting property. It does vary some from public to public so check the regulations for that specific property. Great comment and a need to know for public hunters.
@letsdudethis thanks man!
@@letsdudethis I wonder what the law for the DBNF is. That is typically where I hunt the most public
Newer units of the Vortex Razor HD apparently have a built-in arca-swiss mount as they have been changing this on various products in their lineup.
That's great ro hear...thanks for the input!
How does it look packed up? Curious about the size
Hey there! If I recall correctly, it's pretty typical for a 2 man freestanding type tent. Thanks for watching!
Given the current pricing on each and how much better than new one is which would you buy today if you had to choose? Keep the awesome content coming 🫡
Hey there! I really feel like the extra money is worth it for the new model. It's that much better IMHO. Thanks for watching!
Looking forward your in depth review of this one too. Is it possible that you include a USAF Positive Test Chart in your tests going forward? It is great tool for quantifying resolution power and color fringing. I have always liked your reviews and would really appreciate if they became even more objective.
Hey there! Thanks for the suggestion. I'll try to figure out a way to incorporate that testing going forward. Thanks for watching!
*****SPEC UPDATE - KOWA had a typo in the original specs, and the actual new FOV is 192 - 105ft @ 1000yds.****
Thank you for the nice video. I was thrilled to watch it. Looking forward to another video from you comparing this to the Swaro ATC/STC.
Absolutely! We are actually working on that exact video right now! Stay tuned and thanks for watching!
Great review! I wish they still made the 773
Thank you! I agree....I wish the 773 was still available. Thanks for watching!
Oh man. I have the original and it's incredible. Time will tell if I " need " this new one
Absolutely! As good as the original was, the updated make this thing phenomenal! Thanks for watching!
How does it fit in the side of your exo k4 pack? Saw the picture but could not see the top of it. Planning on getting this tripod with the tricer head. I currently have a problem with fitting my Suiru t-124 in the side zip pocket of my exo.
Hey there! It fit great in the side of the Exo K4 zippered pack. Thanks for watching!
Hey quick question. Should you select your sight tape and then adjust your pins? Or adjust your pins and then do the sight tape? Thanks
Hey there! You can do it either way. One doesn't affect the other. Thanks for watching!
Appreciate the quick response. Love the videos.
@christopherlajoie2974 absolutely! Glad the videos have been helpful.
For some reason whenever I search up a gear review your channel pops up and I love your content. I do have a couple questions though regarding the traverse glove. How did they work with trying to shoot a bow? And did your hands over heat when hiking with them?
Hey there! I'm glad the channel is showing up in search and glad the content is helpful! Shooting a bow would be tough with the Traverse gloves...they are a bit thick for that. I've worn them hiking just fine, but it all depends on the temp of course. Thanks for watching!
@@BackwoodsPursuit Thank you for that insight, I was worried they might be too thick to feel the release correctly. Do you have any recommendations for good archery gloves?
@Aerosith yeah, good call. If I need yo shoot with a release, the Ascent gloves are good...and then First Lite Guide lite (if they still make them) are good to shoot with. Otherwise I just take the gloves off if it's cold but I need to shoot.
Love toa broadleaf. The last 4 deer were shot with the 125 gr all from the same head (two have never been in a target). Two were shoot throughs, 1 went through two ribs, and 1 went the shoulder-heart-rib. Again, all the same broadhead. The point did not curl. The blades were just touched up a little, and a diamond file was lightly used on the tip. Durable, accurate, and deadly.
Awesome! Thanks for sharing your experience!
Thanks for the comparison video! I hope you review Kite’s new APC 50 soon.
Absolutely! We are actually testing them out right now. Thanks for watching!
Hope Sig, Kite and Swaro can produce a high end IS model with top glass. This is severely lacking for birder and nature observer. Current IS bino has good stabilizer but still dont have top end glass and limited FOV. I hike and do not want to carry a tripod. I'm using nikon MHG 8x42 and it caused micro shakes when I'm huffing and panting. I just got myself a Sig 12x42 Zulu6 HDX and the stabilizing is amazing. The ergonomic is pretty bad and very narrow FOV which I have to get used to. Nikon MHG has amazing FOV.
Hey there! Kite actually just released their new ED Glass 50mm models and they have excellent glass...a huge improvement over the both the existing Kite and the Sig. They are a lot bigger though as you'd expect. Thanks for watching!
What is the height of just the tripod without the head
Hey there! I'd have to go measure each of them...which one are you asking about?
The 40 that would be awesome if you would. I’m 6’5” barefoot and want to buy once and cry once

Great review and very informative. Which adapter(s) would you recommend for an Athlon Cronus G2 86mm?
Hey there! Glad it was helpful. I'd have to check if Ollin has one that fits the spotter, but if so, that one was one of our favorites. If it doesn't fit and you want a self aligning model, the Onglass is another great option that is less expensive.
